Back!
There is still life ... Its been 1 year ... 1 long year since I scribbled something here. I have not forgotten my blog. I don't have anything much to write about ... I know I have not stopped thinking "Cogito ergo sum"... I am sure I exist.
I promise to be back ... I don't know when but soon!

Farewell
"Parting is such sweet sorrow". But surprisingly, no tears just intermittent pangs of sadness. Thanks to Orkut, FB and gtalk... I know I will be updated with everything happening in the life of these people who made my 2 years here worth it. I had written once in a blog that I hope, after passing out, Delhi will leave a smile on my face when I think back.
Thanks to the juniors for that kick-ass farewell. Considering the catastrophe that happened for the farewell'09 this was great. Thanks to the effort they had put in, it was too good. They came up with quotes for each and every one in the batch, gifted us with the perfect token, great food (for a change) and the signature DJ. Great skit by Zanskarites and Ara knights shined in that wonderful class video. The ending quote was really special "Don't cry because its over, smile that it happened". Then of course, the part where I had to sing a song like the Fresher's Day and finish it off in the same manner for the farewell.
I will miss this campus more than MEC because 2 years we spent our whole life inside this.
To my batch, DMS, IIT D 2008-'10 ... Love ya all
- Aishwarya - Stealing the scene with her melodic voice when we began life here at DMS, she is now all set to conquer the world of international finance. Bubbly and spirited, she is also one of the most assiduous note takers in class. As inseparable from her cellfone as she is, there is no paucity of a bright smiles when she sees you. Let's hope that the Miss Fresher of 2008 keeps the freshness alive and enchants us with another song before we leave DMS. She is …
- Lavanya - Looks indeed are deceptive. People had pegged her as the sleepiest person in class during those first few months, but what a different story it is today. Badminton brazenness and an expression that seems to say "Are you kidding?" have often left many a sporty opponent wondering gaping in wonderment. She is….
- Priyanka - This pine-sized punk rocker lives on books, movies and music. Bold, brazen, she can silence her best critics with just a few sharp witty retorts. The next few years you might see her in a "never sleeps" mode as she storms citis and paints them red much like she did here. DMS saw her in party mode with an attitude of never say die, hope her attitude never dies. She is….
- Mary George Parayil – The animated expressions will leave you speechless at times, it seems what’s inside her heart is on her face. She is a hyperbole, an exaggerator of the worst kinds. A kick ass baski player, she’s always ready for a game, she is……
- Tina mary mathew - With a blog sharper than Hattori Hanzo swords, her penmanship set the ball rolling for Parivartan '09. So what if she can't be accessed by cell phone or e-mail? Clumsy at times, but her dexterity and agility on both the basky and baddy courts put even her fiercest detractors to shame...

Summerrrrr
I am really experiencing what Summer means ... North India is killing me ... I am so thankful to God that in two months he is shifting to the West :)
Super excited actually .. My first job, my first pay, and my first visit to the City of Dreams. No, I have been there for something like 50 hours precisely when I went for my SJMSOM interview. And the only place I have been to is IIT B and Hiranandani Gardens. As faith has it ... I am going to work at the same place.
Delhi heat is really getting into my head ... I actually take bath at least 4 times a day. The water is so warm even at the night that I have to keep it for 1 hour to be less than my body temperature. The slight pink cheeks (yes, I did have that) that came during winter all down the drain. Yesterday, Delhi recorded something like 43.xx degree ... the hottest April after 50 years. And yes, I am here to witness the historic moment.
I don't know why I start writing blogs when I have this tight schedule where I need more than 24 hours a day. Sem ending as usual kinda hectic. I will be bidding adieu to Delhi in another 1 month. I would have said its nothing but tragic events after I came here except my final placement. God has made up for all what I went through 2 years.
"dene wala jab bhi deta deta chappar phaad ke
kiti kiti kitna kiti kiti kitna
dik taana dik taana tikna tikna"
Yup, this seems like my theme music these days :)
So ... studies are taking a back seat. I have no clue where my time goes.
First week of April, I was on a 'hectic holiday' to Jaipur and Agra. I have been there before. But Taj Mahal was stunning as usual. We just spent 1 day at Jaipur and Rajasthan was burning. Just a small tour to the usual places plus loads of shopping.
I am beginning to like photography. I took some decent snaps during that trip. Not the scenic ones. Natural people in the frame. I must find out how people become Anne Geddes, always had a weakness towards those works. Maybe she knows that I might leave banking and go after photography if I get some encouragement, so mum keeps quiet about the snaps I take however good it is. I think she isn't interested too.
I will miss Delhi ... thats for sure. I will miss my life as an IITian, the campus, the peacocks, the cycling, the 7 storied hostel, the hostel mess, the potato and paneer here, my local guardians, Indira Gandhi Airport, Select City Mall, Green Park, DMS of course and my Mallu gang. They have all been kind to me.
I will miss all those days ... In one of my earlier posts, I had written that I hope Delhi will be as good as Cochin. Though I had to go through real tough times, I am sure that Delhi and my campus leaves a smile on my face. God's grace !!!

Back to Rainbow
I guess I can't leave this place after all. I just went through my previous blogs last day. There is too much of memory here for me to just go off like that. Also there is still traffic here :)
So Rainbow will be my personal diary :) The people who read my posts here are mostly close friends. Random Musings now has as much hits as Rainbow, even though it is over 2 years younger.
So I feel this is my personal space. People who read this will definitely be people interested to know things happening in my life. Or at least, I hope so.
So what is happening in my life? Nothing. Its a big bore. I flew from Trivandrum on Jan 1st week. I flew back for a week in Feb and came back 10 days before to delhi!!!
Excitement might start from May when I am gearing up for my first train journey to home. My joining will be in June 1st week. So things are gonna get hectic. Just 15 days to shift from Saddi Delhi to Nammude Trivandrum (maybe pitstop at Cochin enroute Guruvayoor) to Aamchi Mumbai. Must squeeze Amma's holiday plans. So lot of things scheduled. Hope things go as expected (yes, not planned). I am trying to leave that habit of planning every small thing. But old habits are hard to lose!!!

Simple truth about life
I was sitting and wondering how life is a constant struggle. I have never got anything easy in my life. I have struggled and slogged to get what ever little I have got till now. I am sure in the future also I will be working and slogging to move forward.
I think there are two types of people in this world - the one who struggles to get each and everything done and the other who gets everything so easily. I am sure all of us have met both the groups of people through out.
The latter group comes up at our school, college, work etc. But then how can God create distinctly two categories of people. Its just not fair! The results should be directly proportional to one's work. But on second thoughts, if life was that fair, I guess there will not be any spice in life. Imagine Utopia - where you know that I slogged for this many hours more than the other person, so I have to get the result I wanted. It just doesn't work.
But when you look further into it, its more to do with the way you take life. Some people, like me, take life too seriously. While the latter group have the policy to live life the way it is. Thats how you have to live. Less worries ( I won't say no worries), less tension, leads to long and happy life. I get panicked by the mere chaos of a situation in my fully planned life. But the other category takes life so easily. The end result is my category end up with blood pressure, heart attack and other stress related diseases before we even touch 50. The others will keep on getting things easily (thats what we think coz of their attitude towards life).

Alas! If only it was easier to practice what you preach.
Comments welcome by all readers, if at all I have any left :)
